Reasons to Stay at The Benjamin Hotel in New York City, NY - U.S.A.
I used to live in New York City, so when I’m back in town for work or vacation, I pick my hotels carefully. The Benjamin Hotel, located in a landmark building – built in 1927 in Romanesque Revival style – is at the top of my list. This hotel has a concierge on duty at all time, a fitness center, and more.
If you want to walk to Times Square, then this is the place to stay. The Benjamin is located at 50th Street and Lexington Avenue, in the area known as Midtown. There are a ton of great restaurants nearby, museums within a short walk or subway ride, and, if you want to explore the city, you’ll have no problems getting a taxi right outside.
It’s A Boutique Hotel
The Benjamin has beautiful, classic décor that’s also clean and modern. Some of the rooms have terraces, providing a nice view of the city. The service is great, and the National Restaurant , run by Chef Geoffrey Zakarian (American Iron Chef), is right downstairs. You can either get a table and eat there, or have them deliver it via room service.
Not only did our room come with a teddy bear for each of my children, children’s books were delivered to room for us to borrow during our stay. This definitely made my entire family welcome. On top that, the rooms are designed with additional fold out sofa beds, plus kitchenettes with fairly large refrigerators and microwaves – definitely things that you need when you’re traveling with young children.
It’s A Great Value!
Between the handy, central location, that leaves you near, but not in the middle of the crowds and the many things to do in NYC, this hotel is a great place to stay at a reasonable price. Whether you’re on your own, traveling for pleasure or business, or there with your family, the Benjamin is designed for your needs. I will definitely be back!
